Turkey
Cost

What a hair transplant costs in Turkey.

A 2,500 graft FUE runs about $2,200 to $2,500 across the four Turkish cities we cover. The number that matters is not that one; it is what the package excludes.

01 The figures

Turkey against a quote at home.

Indicative prices in US dollars. Turkish figures are midpoints of the ranges clinics publish; the UK column is a typical private-practice quote.
Procedure Istanbul Antalya Ankara Izmir UK Difference
FUE, 2,500 grafts $2,400 $2,500 $2,200 $2,300 $10,000 Up to 75% less
Sapphire FUE, 2,500 grafts $2,700 $2,800 $2,500 $2,600 $10,500 Up to 73% less
DHI, 2,500 grafts $3,100 $3,200 $2,900 $3,000 $11,500 Up to 72% less
Beard transplant, 2,000 grafts $2,200 $2,300 $2,000 $2,100 $8,500 Up to 73% less

Prices are indicative; only a clinic's written quote applies to you. Turkish figures are conservative midpoints of the ranges clinics publish on their own sites, not surveyed medians, and they carry no sample size. Non-USD figures are converted at indicative rates and rounded. Sources and method: research and price sources.

Istanbul is not the cheapest of the four. Ankara and Izmir sit below it, and Antalya above, because Antalya prices against a resort market. The spread across all four is about $300 on a 2,500 graft FUE, which is smaller than the spread between two clinics on the same street in Istanbul.

02 What moves the price

Four things change the number, and graft count is not the biggest.

Check 01

Who holds the instrument.

Turkish law permits technicians to perform extraction and implantation under supervision. A package where the named surgeon does the work costs more, and clinics rarely volunteer which arrangement you are buying.

Check 02

Technique.

Sapphire FUE adds roughly $300 over standard FUE, DHI roughly $700. Both are real differences in instrument and time, not brand names.

Check 03

Graft count band.

Most clinics quote a flat package covering a band, commonly up to 3,000 or up to 4,000 grafts. Moving within a band often changes nothing. Crossing one does.

Check 04

What the package carries.

Hotel nights, transfers, medication and the first wash are usually included. Flights, a second session and any revision are usually not.

What an all-inclusive package leaves out goes through the exclusions line by line.

03 Questions

Common questions.

Why is a hair transplant so much cheaper in Turkey?

Surgeon and facility costs are a fraction of those in the UK, US or Australia, and Istanbul clinics run high case volumes. The graft itself is not cheaper; the hour of theatre time around it is.

Does the quoted price include the grafts?

In Turkey the headline figure is almost always a flat package for the whole session, not a per-graft rate. Ask which graft count that package covers before you compare it with anything.

Is the cheapest clinic a bad idea?

A price far below the ranges on this page usually means a technician performs most of the procedure rather than the named surgeon. That is legal in Turkey and is the single most useful thing to ask about.
