- The unweighted arithmetic mean of eligible clinic-listed fees for one treatment in one country.
- Range
- The lowest and highest fee in that same published sample. It is not a promised quote range.
- n= clinics
- The number of distinct clinics contributing a usable fee to the cell.
- Reference
- A Tressari private-fee comparison point for the home market, separate from the destination sample.
- % less
- The destination average compared with the US reference, capped at 75% for publication.

From clinic fee to published average.
The same rules apply to every treatment-country cell. The aim is a transparent comparison that a reader can inspect, quote, and qualify correctly.

Eligible records. The fee must be positive, active, attached to an active treatment, and published in the listing of a clinic included in the index.

Currency conversion. USD fees are used directly. Other currencies are divided by the corresponding stored USD-to-currency rate. Records without a usable rate are excluded.

Distinct-clinic sample. Each clinic counts once in a treatment-country cell. At least 3 clinics must contribute before the average is published.

Summary calculation. The visible price is the unweighted arithmetic mean. The range is the minimum and maximum fee among the same records.

Home-market references. US, Australian, and UK values are Tressari private-fee comparison benchmarks in local currency. They are not part of the clinic sample.

Savings comparison. “% less” compares a destination mean with the US reference. Positive savings are capped at 75%, even when the raw arithmetic is higher.
Limitations to carry with every citation

- The sample covers fees available in Tressari clinic listings. It does not represent every dentist or every fee in a country.
- Scope can differ
- Implant brand, crown material, number of roots, sedation, temporary work, and diagnostics may differ between listed fees.
- Country mean
- A national average can be influenced by the cities where more clinics publish prices.
- Prices can move
- Clinic listings and exchange rates change. Record the access date and the sample size when quoting a result.

How much do dental treatments cost abroad?

How does Tressari calculate each country average?
Tressari takes the arithmetic mean of eligible clinic-listed fees for the same treatment and country. Each clinic counts once in a treatment-country cell. A cell is published only when at least 3 clinics contribute a usable price.
Are the destination prices shown in US dollars?
Yes. A clinic fee already listed in USD is used directly. A fee listed in another currency is converted with the USD exchange rate available to the index. A price is omitted when no usable rate is available.
What does the price include?
The index compares the treatment fee attached to the clinic listing. It does not assume that diagnostics, sedation, temporary teeth, bone grafting, hotel stays, flights, or aftercare are included. Only a written clinic quote can confirm inclusions for a specific case.
Why does a table cell show a dash?
A dash means Tressari cannot publish a sufficiently supported average for that treatment and destination. There may be fewer than 3 eligible clinic fees, no usable exchange rate, or no listed fee. It does not mean the treatment is unavailable.
What are the United States, Australia, and United Kingdom prices?
They are Tressari private-fee reference benchmarks used for comparison. They are shown in each home market currency and are separate from the clinic-derived destination averages. They are not insured prices or official national fee schedules.
