Summary
Turkey is the cheapest market we cover and the United States the most expensive, and the gap between them is wider than any other variable in this decision. Every figure below is an indicative midpoint of published clinic pricing, not a surveyed median, and none carries a sample size.
1. The three destinations.
Turkey, Thailand and Vietnam are the markets this site covers. They are not equivalent: Turkey has both the lowest prices and the only listed clinics, while Thailand and Vietnam are priced higher and, at the time of writing, have no clinics listed here at all.

Thailand is roughly double Turkey on the same procedure. Vietnam sits between them. Neither difference is about the follicle; it is about theatre time, case volume and what each market can charge.
2. Against a quote at home.
The comparison that actually decides this for most readers is not Turkey against Thailand, it is Turkey against home.

We cap any saving we print at 75%, which is the ceiling in our published content policy, even where the arithmetic runs higher. A number above that says more about the at-home quote than about the destination.
3. What these numbers are, and are not.
They are conservative midpoints of the ranges clinics publish on their own websites, converted to US dollars and rounded. They are useful for order of magnitude and for comparing markets against each other.
They are not medians of clinic-sourced fee schedules, because no clinic in our listings publishes a per-treatment price yet. When that changes, the figure a page prints will change with it and will carry the number of clinics behind it, which is the only form in which a price on this site reads as evidence.
Nothing here includes flights, a second session, revision work or time off.
4. What moves the number.
Within a market, technique moves it by a few hundred dollars: sapphire FUE above standard FUE, DHI above that. Graft count moves it at band edges rather than smoothly, because most Turkish clinics quote a flat package covering a range.
The largest single variable is not on any price list. It is whether the named surgeon performs the procedure or supervises technicians who do, and clinics rarely volunteer which you are buying.
Common questions
Which country is cheapest for a hair transplant?
Of the three we cover, Turkey, at roughly half the Thai figure for the same procedure. Cheaper markets exist that we do not list clinics in.
Are these prices what I will pay?
No. They are indicative midpoints for comparison. Only a clinic's written quote applies to you, and it will depend on your graft count and technique.
Why is there no sample size next to the numbers?
Because there is none to print. These are midpoints of published ranges, not medians of a clinic sample. A figure with a sample size behind it would say so.
