Of the markets we hold published pricing for, Turkey is the cheapest, at roughly half the Thai figure and a fraction of any Western quote. Cheaper markets exist that we do not cover, and the cheapest quote inside any market is rarely the one to take.
1. The markets we can price.

Turkey is cheapest on every procedure we hold a figure for. That ordering is stable across techniques, which is a reasonable sign it reflects the cost base rather than one clinic's pricing.
2. The markets we cannot price.
Our corpus contains a substantial slice of South Asian price comparison demand: queries in rupees, and per-graft searches naming India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Those markets are cheaper than Turkey. We list no clinics in any of them and hold no published pricing, so we will not print a number for them.
That gap is the honest answer to "what is the cheapest country in the world". We can tell you the cheapest of what we cover. Anyone naming a global winner should tell you where their figure came from.
3. Cheap country, cheap clinic, different questions.
Choosing a cheap market is a defensible decision about cost base. Choosing the cheapest clinic inside that market is a different and worse one.
A Turkish package well below the ranges on this page usually means one of three things: a technician performs most of the procedure, the graft count quoted is counting hairs rather than follicular units, or items you assumed were included are not. All three are worth a direct question, and all three are answerable in writing before you pay a deposit.
The spread between clinics inside Istanbul is wider than the spread between the four Turkish cities we cover. The country decision is the small one.
4. Cheapest is not the same as least total cost.
A second session, revision work, or a result that needs correcting elsewhere all cost more than the difference between two markets. Flights from Australia to Istanbul cost more than the gap between Istanbul and Bangkok.
Price the whole trip, twice if your case may need two procedures, before deciding which market is actually cheapest for you.

Why is Turkey so much cheaper?
Lower surgeon, nursing and theatre costs, and very high case volumes. The procedure and the follicle are the same.
Should I pick the cheapest clinic I find?
A price far below the published ranges usually signals who performs the surgery or how the grafts are counted. Ask both questions in writing.
