Which of the three destinations should I choose?
Start from where you are flying from and how the clinic is staffed. Turkey has the deepest choice and the shortest hop from Europe. Thailand and Vietnam suit patients travelling from Asia and Australia, and both tend to run smaller daily case loads.
How much does a hair transplant actually cost?
It depends on the graft count far more than the technique, so any price quoted without a graft count behind it tells you nothing. The table above gives the median published price per destination at a stated graft count. Only a clinic's written quote applies to you.
How many grafts will I need?
A clinic cannot answer that properly from one photo, and one that quotes a firm number sight unseen is selling rather than assessing. Expect a range at first, narrowed at an in-person consultation on the day.
Who actually performs the surgery?
This is the question that separates clinics. In much of the market, technicians carry out extraction and implantation while the doctor opens the channels and supervises. That is legal and can be done well, but you are entitled to know the split before you book. We ask every listed clinic and print what they tell us.
How long do I need to stay?
Most patients allow four to five days: a consultation, the procedure itself, and a first wash at the clinic before flying home. The result takes twelve to eighteen months to finish arriving, so nobody flies home with their final hair.

What if the grafts do not take?
Ask what the graft guarantee covers and what it requires of you, in writing, before you pay. Most guarantees are conditional on following aftercare and many require you to return in person. We send you a clinic's published terms before you commit.
